Advertise on Change Risk Intel
Reach IT change managers, CAB chairs, and risk leaders through display, newsletter, and direct-sold placements on Change Risk Intel.
Change Risk Intel is an independent editorial site for the people who actually approve, block, or reschedule production changes: change managers, CAB chairs, platform SREs, ITSM leaders, IT-risk officers, and the auditors who chase them. If that is your buyer, this is a small, unusually senior audience worth talking to directly.
Who reads the site
The audience is concentrated in three overlapping groups:
- IT change and ITSM leaders at mid-market and enterprise organizations — the people running ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Freshservice, ServiceDesk Plus, and BMC deployments.
- Operational risk and compliance — SOX, SOC 2, PCI, DORA, and NIS2 owners who care about how change control lands in real ITSM workflows.
- Cybersecurity practitioners with a change-window lens — teams translating CISA KEV, Patch Tuesday, and cloud-provider incidents into scheduled changes.
Traffic and audience metrics are shared under NDA on request. The site is early-stage, and we will not exaggerate its scale to prospective advertisers.
Placements
We keep the ad inventory deliberately small so placements perform and the site stays readable. The base inventory is:
- Homepage —
homepage-hero-below. A single, above-the-fold-adjacent unit on the homepage. One slot only. - In-article —
in-article-1andin-article-2. Two manual, tasteful placements per long-form article, dropped after the third and eighth paragraphs respectively. - Sidebar —
sidebar-sticky. Desktop-only sticky rail unit on article pages. - Pre-comments —
pre-comments. One unit above the newsletter and discussions footer area on articles.
We do not run anchor ads, vignette / interstitial ads, auto- refreshing ads, or automated placement (“auto ads”) at any tier.
Ad networks and direct-sold
Display inventory is currently filled by third-party ad networks, starting with Google AdSense and Ezoic and graduating to Mediavine / Raptive once we hit the traffic thresholds for those programs. The programmatic path is fine for most performance advertisers.
If your campaign needs guaranteed placement, custom creative, or a specific editorial adjacency, we sell direct for:
- Homepage
homepage-hero-belowflights (weekly or monthly). - Pillar sponsorships (for example, “This week’s Change Management section is presented by …”). Editorial coverage is unaffected; see our editorial policy.
- Sponsored briefings on a specific topic — always clearly labelled as sponsored, with a fixed template.
- Newsletter primary placements in The Change Risk Desk weekly digest.
We do not sell native articles disguised as editorial. Every sponsored unit is labelled at the top of the page.
Newsletter sponsorship
Our email newsletter — a weekly digest of change-risk signals worth acting on — sells one primary sponsor slot per issue and one secondary slot. Sponsors get a short copy block plus a single link. We share opens, click-throughs, and delivered-count for each flight.
Affiliate partnerships
For ITSM and GRC vendors, we participate in a small number of affiliate programs. Affiliate placement is editorial-led: we add links only where we independently believe the vendor is a legitimate option for the reader. Vendors interested in affiliate discussions can email the ads address below.
What we will not run
- Native articles that don’t disclose sponsorship.
- Malvertising, cryptojacking, redirect-chain ads, or misleading creative.
- YMYL (“your money or your life”) pitches — payday loans, unregulated medical products, unregulated investment products.
- Anything that requires our editorial coverage to be altered as part of the deal.
Rates and next steps
We publish indicative rates on request; final pricing depends on flight length, exclusivity, and whether the buy is programmatic or direct.

- Your company, product, and target buyer;
- The campaign objective (awareness, demand-gen, event, launch);
- Approximate budget and timing window; and
- Any specific pillar or article adjacency you’re interested in.
We’ll reply with a media kit, an inventory calendar, and an intro call if it looks like a fit.
